Dialogue of the Day


Should I exercise today? Or should I curl up and let the girlies destroy the house while I rest?

I've been caring for the little ones over the last few days, and of course when they're starting to look healthier, Mom gets it. So here's what I'm thinking:

If I exercise it might put my body under undo stress and prevent weight loss.
If I exercise I will burn the calories I need to reach my 2 lb goal this week.
If I exercise it might make no difference at all to my cold.

If I don't exercise I'll get an extra 30 minutes of rest.
If I don't exercise I might get better faster.
If I don't exercise it's only one day and I can still lose 2 lbs.

Which of these are true?! I have this dilemma every time I get sick. Usually it's my energy level that makes the decision. Today although things from my neck up feel all wrong, my energy level is relatively fine. 30 minutes of exercise won't kill me, especially if I can rest later. Hmmm. Still haven't decided.

In the meantime, where is the person who is supposed to take care of me while I'm sick?

This is me this week. I stayed home from work for a few days with some sort of infection and a slight fever... I remember Tim the trainer (remember him? ha!) telling me not to exercise while sick, so I stick to that personally, but it bugs! I just got into my routine after 7 weeks!
