This is EXACTLY what I look like when I work out.

Here's a tip of the day:
Put your workout clothes on FIRST thing in the morning.*

Even if I'm dragging myself out of bed (okay this is every day) I still put my workout clothes on very first.  That way I can tell myself, "I'm probably too tired/sick/frustrated/busy to workout today, but if for some crazy reason I get a small 20 minute window where I feel okay with it, I can easily do it because I'm already dressed for the occasion."  Even if you have to wear the same stinky workout clothes each day, do it.  Even if you have to wear embarrassing spandex when you go get your mail or kiss your husband goodbye in the morning, do it.  Seriously, it will help.  First of all, it will help you establish a routine.  Second of all, it will help you feel more energy, there's just something about WEARING the clothes that tricks your brain.  Third, it makes it easier to turn the video on because you already did the hard part of getting dressed to workout.  There have been days when I get dressed in workout clothes even if I'm undecided about actually exercising, and it's gone both ways.  Sometimes after a while I just end up taking a shower and changing.  Most days I push through the workout.

*Obviously this doesn't work for people who workout mid-day or in the evening.  Please don't wear your smelly gym clothes to work, unless you work at a topsoil loading zone... However, you can change at work before you head to your car.  I've done that before too and it works the same way.  Or change as soon as you get home, even if you have to do chores/eat/homework first, it will slowly psych you up by the time you workout.

TRY IT OUT!!

p.s. yes, "workout clothes" can mean pajama pants and your husband's t-shirt (unless he's skinnier than you, like mine is), although I don't recommend it because it will make you feel extremely claustrophobic and more sweaty.

My Zumba pants seriously get me ready to work out. Days that I am not feeling it, I'll put 'em on, and then I'm ready to go. This really does work! Great tip. And anyone that looks like that girl when they work out is doing it totally wrong.
