So last Friday was my 28th birthday.  I'm healthier and stronger than I've ever been, so that was a wonderful birthday present!  However, as far as the weight loss rollercoaster, I did pretty bad.  On Friday I ate cheesecake with my breakfast.  I had lunch at Rumbi Island Grill.  I ate my meal and half of Sofie's.  Afterward, we celebrated with more cheesecake.  I had 2 more large slices.  For dinner I went to Teppanyaki and ate more than my share of dinner.  By the end of the night my stomach hurt something fierce.  On Saturday I was determined to eat well, I made it most of the day, but then before bed I ate a sleeve of cookies with milk...  Sunday was mother's day and my mom made lasagna for my birthday dinner.  Her lasagna is heaven.  I ate a lot of it.  And a lot of garlic french bread.  Then I ate another slice of cheesecake.  And a cupcake (which was actually my 3rd for the day) and a hearty slice of Costco's chocolate cake.  (by the way, the cupcake was a cookie, peanut butter cup, and a brownie disguised as a cupcake.)  On Monday I felt miserable and a bit withdrawal-ish from a lapsed prescription, so I couldn't muster up ANY desire to do well.  I didn't exercise and I ate more lasagna and more chocolate cake and cupcakes.  What the heck?  I thought for sure I was sunk for the rest of my life.

With that said, I worked out hard and did the best I could the rest of this week, and my only consolation is that if I hadn't done well the rest of the week, I would have seen  some REALLY bad numbers on the scale today.

Gained 1.5 pounds
158 pounds

I'm excited that there are no big celebrations or feasts planned in the near future!!  I need a couple weeks to get back on track!

Sometimes, you just gotta celebrate. You are doing so well; it was deserved!
